Re-certification for CCBP Exam - CIO Certified Blockchain Business Professional

IMPORTANT NOTE - This is for Re-certication of the CCBP designation and is ONLY available to those who have achieved the CCBP Certification in the past. This exam only requires those recertifying pass a 60-minute open-book online exam. No Capstone project work is required for those recertifying.
The Globally recognized CIO Certified Blockchain Professional (CCBBA) Designation is issued in partnership with the CIO Association of Canada and is accredited as a professional development program by the Institute of Management Consultants (CMC Ontario, Canada).
The certification is open to business and technology professionals, executives and entrepreneurs globally.
Two options to earn the Certification:
- Option 1: The recommended approach is for professionals to attend the prep course for recertification. Those attending the live online or in-person courses will receive a coupon for a discount off of the original price. Please use that coupon code to register here and save. In cases where the discount provided is already equal to or greater than the coupon value, the coupon may not be applicable.
- Option 2: Professionals unable to attend the receritification/self-certification prep course can self-study and self-certify by passing the exam - all online from anywhere and on your time. When you register, an email containing curriculum details for self-study and materials covering some of the areas required to certify will be provided. You will have 60-days within which to complete the certification process.
Re-certification Requirements
Re-certification requires successfully passing a 60-minutes open-book exam. A capstone is not required for re-certification.
A post-secondary education or equivalent of at least 2 years of professional work experience is required in any field. Candidates must be 18 years or older.
A CIO Certified Blockchain Professional (CCBP)
Is knowledgeable about what Blockchain is, the main protocols and types of Blockchains. Has a high-level appreciation for popular Blockchains including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, Ripple, EOS and when they are used
Is knowledgable about popular Cryptocurrencies (e.g. bitcoin, ether), tokens, and digital assets
Has a good understanding of emerging business models and decentralized finance (DeFI), including DAOs, stablecoins, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC), and DeFi FinTech ecosystem participants
Has a good understanding of key governance models for both Blockchains and for consortiums, including concepts of intellectual property management
Is knowledgeable about the different use cases and case studies in Blockchain
Understands they key tradeoffs and risks associated with different Blockchains, cryptocurrencies and tokens, business models, governance models and regulatory requirements in order to participate in the development of a comprehensive Blockchain strategy
Can lead a team to develop Blockchain Strategy as part of an overall Digital Transformation strategy
Can develop their own Blockchain use case and lead a Proof of Concept or Product Development
