Certification Requirements
The CIO Certified Blockchain Professional (CCBP) designation is issued in partnership with the CIO Association of Canada and is accredited as a professional development program by the Institute of Management Consultants (CMC Ontario).
The certification is open globally to business and technology professionals, executives and entrepreneurs.
There are two options to certify:
Option 1: It is recommended that you attend the in-person or online live streamed CIO Certified Blockchain Professional (Foundational) Bootcamp. You can register for it in the Workshops menu option.Those who register for the in-person or online live bootcamp will receive a discount coupon towards the certification.
Option 2: Alternatively, you can self-study the curriculum and attempt the certification online. Register for the certification on this page.
A CIO Certified Blockchain Professional (CCBP - Foundational)

Is knowledgeable about popular Cryptocurrencies (e.g. Bitcoin, Ethereum) and the transaction process

Understands key Blockchain concepts and definitions

Can identify key consensus mechanisms and know all parts of the Blockchain ecosystem

Knows about the emerging trends and business models related to Blockchain

Understands the use of digital assets and tokens, and decentralized financial applications, ICO/STOs

Is knowledgeable about the different use cases and case studies in Blockchain

Can design their own Blockchain use case and lead a project

Successfully completed an examination and Capstone Project
Cost of Certification
There is a cost of certification to cover the online exam, review of the capstone project and issue of a digital certificate. Those who register for the in-person or online live bootcamp will receive a discount coupon towards the certification.
